Lottery draws only work if people trust them. That's why official lotteries use strict methods to make every result random and to prove it.
Two ways numbers are drawn
Ball machines mix numbered balls with air or rotating paddles, then release them one at a time. Balls are weighed and measured, and sets are rotated so no single set gets overused.
Random number generators (RNGs) are computer systems certified by independent labs. They're kept offline and sealed, and their output is tested for patterns before and after use.
How fairness is checked
- Independent auditors or security staff often watch the draw
- Equipment is tested before the draw and stored securely
- Results are checked statistically over time to spot any bias
What this means for players
Because draws are properly random, no number is ever "due" and no method can find the next result. Charts of past draws, including the ones on Apollo AI's Visual Board, show history. They are interesting to explore, but they don't reveal the future.
